ABOUT
Here at Cookies for Koalas, we are trying to foster a message of environmental and climate awareness and youth empowerment. Cookies for Koalas is a grass-roots non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for various environmental crises. We ensure that the funds are distributed to a range of non-profits working to make a difference everywhere. Our organization was originally founded to help plant trees and aid wildlife relief after the Australian wildfires. Even though the burden of solving the climate change catastrophe has been placed on the shoulders of the next generation, Cookies for Koalas remains living proof that we can make a significant difference. Your donations enable us to turn our ideas into reality.
Hey! I'm Katherine Davies (She/Her/Hers), I'm 17 years old and the founder and owner of Cookies for Koalas. In the midst of the devasting and continuous climate disaster, I began Cookies for Koalas almost five years ago, and I am still doing my best to make a difference. I've had a strong interest in sustainability since I just a kid, and I continue to take action in my neighborhood by participating in local recycling drives and attending protests in addition to my organization. Cookies for Koalas is a one person operation: meaning that I not only do the entirety of the baking, but the transportation, packaging, budgeting, social media/marketing, and web design as well! In addition to coming up with innovative ways to address the current climate crisis, I am also enthusiastic about business and enjoy empowering my community by educating young girls on how to launch their own small enterprises.
THIS MONTH'S DONATIONS
This month we are donating to American Rivers which is a group working to conserve clean water and restore damaged wild rivers. By aiding in protecting The United States' most damaged rivers they are not only benefiting the animals and plants but, the future of us and our planet as well.
